UNICEF Report in Lao PDR Shows Significant Boost in Math Learning with Eduten

A new evidence report from UNICEF has prompted Lao PDR’s Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) to examine the feasibility of scaling Finland’s Eduten maths platform beyond its recent 12-week pilot.

MoES is reviewing pilot findings, hardware requirements and teacher-training needs before deciding whether to adopt Eduten as a remedial tool nationwide. The study in Laos is part of a broader series of evaluations by UNICEF’s Global Learning Innovation Hub, which also reviewed Eduten’s impact in Bhutan and Uzbekistan, highlighting consistent gains in learning outcomes across diverse education systems.
