Following a UNICEF study Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Preschool and School Education (MoPSE) is exploring options to extend Eduten’s AI-powered maths platform across more schools.
Key findings
- +16.9% boost in maths proficiency and +10.2% lift in arithmetic fluency for Grade 5 learners who used Eduten once a week for 12 weeks.
- 1,046 students in 17 public schools: 527 on Eduten, 519 in the control group.
- Teachers cited lighter marking loads and sharper insight into individual progress.
"Uzbek classrooms proved that a single digital lesson can punch above its weight. We stand ready to support MoPSE’s decision-making with data, training and locally aligned content.”
MoPSE is assessing digital infrastructure, curriculum alignment and funding pathways before any full-scale deployment. The study in Uzbekistan is part of a broader series of evaluations by UNICEF’s Global Learning Innovation Hub, which also reviewed Eduten’s impact in Bhutan and Laos, highlighting consistent gains in learning outcomes across diverse education systems.
