Eduten’s Head of National Projects at the signing with the Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan in the presence of the Presidents of Finland and Uzbekistan.
A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Eduten, one of Finland’s leading digital learning platforms, and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed on October 31st, 2025 in Tashkent as part of the official state visit of the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, to Uzbekistan.
The agreement was signed at the Presidential Palace in Tashkent in the presence of Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Finland’s President Alexander Stubb. It aims to strengthen cooperation in education between the two countries and to expand access to innovative learning solutions for students across Uzbekistan.
The MoU directly between Eduten and Uzbekistan Ministry of Preschool and School Education is further recognition of the success of the pilot, and the government’s strong commitment to digital transformation of the education system. It is hoped the MoU could pave the way for the next phase of expansion to more classrooms across the country.
The Eduten pilot in Uzbekistan in late 2023 which was supported by UNICEF showed that students who used Eduten demonstrated higher performance in arithmetic and mathematics assessments compared to their peers who did not. Key learnings from the Eduten pilot supported by UNICEF are also available in this report.
"We’re honoured to continue working with our partners in Uzbekistan and UNICEF. This collaboration is a great example of how Finnish educational innovation can support national education goals and even strengthen bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan.”
The MoU signing, which coincided with the visit of the Finnish President, underscored the growing cooperation between Finland and Uzbekistan in education, technology, and innovation.
