Eduten Ltd., the provider of a globally recognized digital learning platform, the Eduten platform, is pleased to announce a groundbreaking 12-week pilot project in Bhutan. The project aims to evaluate how the Eduten platform can improve numeracy skills of 500 Bhutanese students across 20 schools in Bhutan.
The Eduten platform, which received the UNICEF EdTech Award in 2022, will serve as the cornerstone for this initiative. Offering a library of over 200,000 pedagogically sound tasks, the platform is known for its proven impact on learning outcomes and teacher well-being. This pilot is powered by the UNICEF Learning Innovation Hub and is part of their efforts to identify EdTech solutions with a potential to reach 100 million children in a safe and ethical way that promotes quality learning, inclusivity and equity.
The pilot involves 500 students, 20 teachers, and 20 principals who recently attended a comprehensive 3-day workshop organized by Eduten in Paro, Bhutan, focusing on introducing Eduten in classrooms. Over the 12 weeks, the project will evaluate the platform's efficacy in boosting mathematics skills, increasing student motivation, and reducing teacher workload through automated task marking and personalized learning paths.
Developed at the University of Turku, Finland – a globally top 1% ranked university – the Eduten platform has been widely adopted by over 26,000 Finnish teachers and is now in use in 50+ countries.

"We are thrilled to work alongside UNICEF’s Learning Innovation Hub, UNICEF Bhutan, and Bhutan's Ministry of Education. The workshop in Paro demonstrated the enthusiasm and openness of the Bhutanese educators towards innovative, research-based teaching methods. This pilot will help us understand how to tailor our solutions to meet the unique needs of Bhutanese students."
