In a major development following a highly successful pilot earlier in 2023, Eduten Ltd. in collaboration with the Mongolian Ministry of Education and Science (MoES), will roll out its globally recognized digital learning platform, the Eduten platform, to all grade 3 and grade 4 students across Mongolia. This project covers approximately 139,000 students for the school year 2023, marking a significant milestone in Eduten's mission to enhance global education through Finnish pedagogy.
The pilot program with the MoES showed impressive learning outcomes, setting the stage for this widespread implementation. The Eduten platform, known for its scientifically backed approach to improving student learning and motivation, has been chosen to elevate education for young learners in Mongolia, reflecting trust in the effectiveness of Eduten's Finland-based pedagogy and technology.
Teacher onboarding for this extensive program was successfully executed in the third quarter of 2023, in a joint effort between Eduten and the Mongolian General Authority for Education (GAE). This phase ensured that educators and experts at all levels of the education system were fully equipped to leverage the Eduten platform, maximizing its benefits for students' mathematical proficiency. The experiences reported by teachers and students alike have been extremely positive, highlighting the platform's impact on enhancing educational engagement and outcomes.
The success of the initiative has opened discussions between Eduten and MoES on further collaboration projects. These discussions explore additional opportunities for incorporating Eduten's digital solutions to benefit more students across the country and for other subjects beyond mathematics, potentially setting a new standard for digital education in Mongolia and beyond.
Henri Muurimaa, CEO of Eduten, expressed his enthusiasm about the project's progress:
"The results from our initial pilot in Mongolia were beyond encouraging, and now, seeing our platform embraced on such a large scale is a testament to the hard work of University of Turku, our team and our Mongolian partners. We're excited about the future and are committed to supporting Mongolia's educational ambitions every step of the way."
As Eduten continues to create meaningful partnerships and expand its innovation globally, the project in Mongolia acts as a showcase of the potential for digital education platforms to transform learning outcomes on a national scale.
